Supported Missionaries
Seth and Jessica Lewis for Ireland
Who We Are:
Seth committed his life to Christ when he was very young. Later, when he was 13, he began teaching Bible clubs for children and realized that his faith had to be more than a family tradition. Since then, he has continued to be involved in ministry and has developed an intimate relationship with the Lord that has become his greatest treasure. Seth is ordained and has a Masters of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary.
Jessica grew up with parents who knew and loved Jesus. Memorizing Bible verses with her mother is one of her earliest memories. At the age of six, she attended a revival meeting at her
church and realized that she needed and wanted Jesus to save her. In the coming years, she has learned to walk with Him, to love His Word and to respond to His Spirit. Now she has no greater joy than experiencing His Presence, and serving Him for the glory of Jesus Christ!
Seth and Jessica met at Liberty University. After dating seriously for several months, God tested them separately one weekend as they each faced a decision: both felt strongly led to missions, but neither thought the other would go. Separately, they decided that they would follow God despite the consequences. You can imagine their surprise when they saw what God had done in both of them!
Daniel James Lewis burst into our lives on July 5th, 2007. He is a constant joy and the subject of most of our pictures these days!
What We Do:
Ireland is a traditionally Catholic country where evangelical Christians are about 1% of the population (less than any other English-speaking country in the world). In the past, Ireland was instrumental in preserving Christianity in Europe and sent missionaries around the world to proclaim God’s word. However, over the centuries, churches in Ireland have hidden the light of the gospel under a robe of traditions that obscure God's grace. Our vision is to begin movements of reproducing churches that will shine the light of the gospel of God’s grace in every part of Ireland, so that it will again become a light to the world! To accomplish this goal, we will be joining CrossWorld teams in Ireland who are working with local Irish churches to plant new ones in areas that do not have a gospel witness. Check out www.crossworld.org for more information on CrossWorld and what they do in Ireland.
